After graduating from Leeds University with a degree in Fine Art Ceramics in 1998, I eventually found myself working in Art Education within public sector art galleries, as well as gaining an MA in Museum Studies along the way. I enjoyed the engagement and stimulating aspects of educating, but decided I wanted to be more hands-on, so in 2005 I made the big step to go self employed.
Over the years I've developed a few branches to my practice; incorporating my own work, commissions, educational projects as well as some freelance Technician and Consultation work. This ensures that every day and project is unique for me. I sell my own work online and stock a limited number of gallery shops and craft outlets. Most recently I have taken on joint running of a studio/shop outlet at Cedar Farm near Ormskirk. This is a great opportunity for me to develop my work and business.
So I'm always busy spinning plates as a Mum and continuing to develop and expand my business, which luckily are my two passions.
